Nala and her owner have been inseparable since she was a puppy, and her charming and spirited personality has always kept her owner entertained. Lindamood enjoys teaching Nala new commands and tricks, and she has learned several over the years. Nala and her owner became famous on the internet due to the cute little trick Nala does, where she goes between the legs of Lindamood and does her signature Nala stomps. A while ago, Lindamood tried teaching her the trust fall but gave up after Nala didn’t seem to understand it. However, a few months ago, Nala surprised him by picking up where they left off.
“One morning, while we were still in bed, Nala sat up and suddenly flopped back without any warning,” Lindamood recalled. “I was taken aback, but it also made me grin from ear to ear, and I couldn’t stop laughing. She flopped right next to me, and we snuggled for a while, enjoying the moment.”
Nala’s dad was surprised when she suddenly started doing the trust fall, but seeing the happiness it brought him, Nala refused to stop. Each time she flopped back into her dad’s arms, it filled him with joy, and he wanted to share that joy with others.
“Since Nala would flop randomly, it was challenging to set up my phone camera to capture it,” Lindamood explained. “Every time I thought she was going to do it, I’d set up the camera and then she wouldn’t do it. So I knew I needed a camera recording all the time to catch the moments.” Lindamood set up a security camera in his bedroom and, on one of the first nights, captured the perfect flop.
Now, everyone can enjoy Nala’s flops, and people have been loving it. She continues to do her routine several times a week, sometimes at inconvenient moments, but her dad wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Lindamood recalled a recent incident when Nala did her flop routine at 5 a.m. while he was sleeping, and it startled him as she accidentally hit him on the head. “Initially, I was completely surprised and woke up, but then I started laughing immediately once I realized what happened,” he said.
Nala’s ultimate purpose in life is to keep making her dad happy and put a smile on his face, so as long as he keeps enjoying her flops, she’ll continue to do them with great enthusiasm.”
