This small puppy was so unhappy that he anxiously awaited his owner’s return home in front of a hotel lobby.
He waited for six incredibly lonesome and long months.
Strictly speaking, he was a stray at the time, and his prospective owner was unaware that she was truly his. YET!
Yet the cosmos has a wonderful way of bringing humans and their ideal animal friends together at just the right moment and place.
In this instance, the person was Olivia Sievers, a flight attendant from Germany who frequently visited Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of her employment.
She frequently stayed at the same hotel, and after a time she began to notice a peculiar hotel amenity that always appeared to be there for her the instant she arrived.
Every time Olivia wheeled her bag into the hotel lobby, a golden-colored stray known to roam the area greeted her.
Although he was really kind, boy did he milk those pitiful puppy dog looks!
He was fed by Olivia, who also gave him the name Rubio, and they played with him for a while.
Dogs, like elephants, have no memory. Also, every time Rubio spotted Olivia, he would wag his booty tail, fall on his side, and whine for Olivia to touch his belly.
Olivia did, however, make an effort to steer clear of the dog at one point.
“I tried to change my way because I didn’t want that he follow me back to the hotel,” she told Noticero Trece. “But it was not possible. He always came back and followed me. I tried one hour, but he always watched me and followed me. He was really happy that somebody gave him attention.”
But it was too late; among the thousands of people who passed him every day, Rubio had already chosen his.
Rubio simply didn’t care that she resided in another nation. He was only waiting for Olivia to see that their relationship was meant to be.

Olivia ultimately made the decision to adopt Rubio and permanently remove him from the streets. He got to go back to Germany with her after getting everything in order, where they had fresh adventures away from hotel lobbies and sliding glass doors.
