It was determined that Bynes needed to be placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.
Fortunately, Bynes was not injured during the incident, and sources close to her say that she is currently in the hospital and will possibly stay there for “several days.” Typically, these types of holds last for 72 hours. This event occurred almost a year after Bynes’ conservatorship ended. It was put in place in 2013 when she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
TMZ also reported that Bynes was set to appear at ’90s Con 2023 in Connecticut over the weekend but dropped out “due to illness.” KTLA attempted to reach Bynes’ attorney for a statement following this report, but they have not received a response.
